Fairy Flycatcher is a South African endemic that breeds in the fynbos of the Western and Eastern Cape Provinces in summer and, similar to the Black Harrier, in winter migrates to the karoo and riparian vegetation along rivers on the highveld. It is one of our smallest birds with a mass of only 8 g.
