HEIDELBERG AND UNIONDALE ARE LEADERS IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN GCBR
Note that this is not about farming operations but about the businesses that provide specialised products and services to the agricultural sector.
The total number of enterprises of the GCBR towns varies quite a lot. Mossel Bay is the largest, followed by Oudtshoorn, Swellendam, Riversdal, Montagu and so on. The agricultural products and services sector constitutes overall a small part of all enterprises in the GCBR. However, agriculture is still considered to be one of the major economic sectors and it is necessary to consider which towns are important in servicing agriculture.
