UNTIMELY PASSING OF MR W F BOTHA

It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you of the sudden passing away of our Chairman, Mr Willem Botha yesterday morning, Monday, 6 January 2020 due to health complications.

Willem was an integral part of the team that founded the Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve (GCBR) and was its Chairperson since its registration as a non-profit company in 2011.

GCBR’s Chief Executive, Dr Steve du Toit commented that “Willem made immeasurable contributions to the organisation and his passion and enthusiasm have influenced so many of us. He was a remarkable man, with a powerful sense of civic duty and he will be sadly missed”.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends in this difficult time.
